REVIEW BY MICHELLE

I was fortunate enough to read this book before its release, just before the riots in the UK shook the news. I was astonished more because everything that Daniel wrote rings true.

I could empathise with the main character and sympathise with how events just sweep him along. He suffers unbearable losses in this story and yet maintains his dignity without becoming pious.

The characters in Devastation are believable and well portrayed. The interaction between them all is also very credible and the storyline is horrific in places but even more so because you quickly realise that this could actually happen.
This story is set in the future, on a far-flung planet in the outer reaches of the universe, but it seems so very close to home.
I'm looking forward to the next book.

AMAZON REVIEWS

Graphic, horrific, violent and very impressive 1st novel by Daniel D Longdon. This novel is set in the future on a planet with 3 moons. Jason de Silva is an ordinary family man who is thrown into a conflict with the unruly Skavites after his home and family are attacked. Government is too lenient and the police powerless to intervene. Jason is thrown together with others who are not happy and together start a conquest to rid the planet of the evil. This novel is hard to put down and Daniel transports you to this far off land that resonates with recent events at home.
I look forward to more novels.

REVIEW BY M I MALBY

Devastation is action-packed and thrilling to read. I couldn't put it down!
I found it easy to get into and immediately empathised with the main character, Jason de Silva, as he protects his family and the whole theme of the justice for victims.
Daniel D Longdon excells in pulling the reader into his world and his descriptions of mass murder and torture is graphic.
A must read for syfy fantasy and horror fans!

REVIEW BY NIK
If you like gritty Sci-fi then check out this Author. Devastation is a gripping story of a society on the edge and a man forced to take matters into his own hands to protect his family.
This is a great first book from the author creating a world that echoes of our modern society dragged to breaking point by criminal gangs. A sometimes chilling tale of what could happen when a society becomes lawless and leaderless and its reaction to a man who does the right thing.

REVIEW BY GLENN
A fantastic read, a book which is incredibly hard to put down. As you follow Jason de Silva's story you yourself want to help and join his cause as he travels through Albion in order to protect his family and friends. Devastation is an action packed and emotional ride throughout, a book which will keep you on tenterhooks from beginning to end. I highly recommend this book to all science fiction and fantasy readers out there. A brilliant 5 star read.

REVIEW BY WILL
This is no fairy story for children or sensitive adults, but is a cracking good yarn for all that. The story is bursting with gangland violence and uncompromising language and you will find yourself on a roller-coaster from page one.

Jason de Silva is a family man who would cross the road to avoid a fight, but when violence comes knocking on his door he has to make hard choices or be branded a coward. The author has created a mythical land of Albion, with some startling comparisons to the current problems facing our own world.
Albion is being over-run by vicious gangs of yobs out to create mischief. Collectively they are known as Skavites. They don't care for anyone and are hell-bent on causing mayhem.
Weak government seems powerless to protect ordinary folk and goes out of it's way to appease the criminal, but eventually somebody has to make a stand. You may be shocked, you will certainly not be bored and you can expect to skip a few meals, as the excitement builds to fever-pitch. This book should be X-rated, if X-stands for excitement!
